Many large SCADA contractors will install a "cookie cutter" communication system. Did your contractor install dual yagi antenna's to give you "maximum signal"? Both of these are wrong and will cause the integrity of your SCADA system to fail. Allow Bressler Communication Consultants to design a custom system specifically for your location and needs. Give us a call and allow us to show you the difference in "cookie cutter" and custom design!

Bressler Communications has been working with Boston Leather to develop a new leather case for the limited keypad Kenwood NX-5200. We received the working prototype today and have to say that it is top quality as expected.
Bressler Communication Consultants has recently completed this custom build solar power and SCADA data hub in a remote location of Pennsylvania. This system will power the attached communications equipment for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with 1 week autonomous power backup in one of the worst solar regions of the US. The communication system includes a primary link via microwave with automatic failover to cellular, and a SCADA radio system for data collection from the well pads all via IP backhaul with serial backup. Don’t waste your valuable project budget and settle for off the shelf products. Call Bressler Communication Consultants today and allow us to design a custom data system for you.
Bressler Communication Consultants can custom design and build a remote site security camera system to suit just about any needs that you may have. This particular system was designed to monitor a remote water loading site 24/7 without network access. Two HD cameras with infrared night vision and sound capability were used with a network video recorder allowing storage of over 30 days data and remote view capability. This system was paired with a cellular modem allowing backhaul via LTE service. For those remote locations that are outside the boundaries of cellular service we can easily design your system to work with satellite, or be completely stand alone. Call us today to discuss your needs and allow us custom build your next security system.
Monitoring remote sites on a budget can prove to be quite difficult. For most remote sites, the owner only wants to know if a key piece of equipment is operating. Standard practice has usually incorporated some type cellular modem or satellite, and an expensive data acquisition system such as a remote stand-alone RTU. With the Cellular Alarm, we can give you peace of mind on a budget. The Cellular Alarm will allow up to four customizable, programmable inputs to monitor your remote equipment, including security alerts. Some of the standard features include power monitoring, backup battery, temperature monitoring, water detection including water level, and SMS alerts in near real-time to two devices. Contact Bressler Communication Consultants today and ask how we can help you monitor your remote sites.
Cellular companies are beginning to phase out their legacy networks for a variety of reasons. When was the last time that you looked at your M2M/IoT network to take inventory of antiquated products? With the sun setting on CDMA products now is the time to look towards the future and LTE technology. Allow Bressler Communications to help you plan for a smooth transition that will last well into the future.
Are your sites prepared for the arrival of winter weather? Winter can bring special hardships when it comes to managing a remote site. Sometimes the most simple of things that we take for granted can become a monumental task. One of the often overlooked areas is site access. If your site was to go off the air and you needed to replace parts, do you have those necessary supplies on hand at the site or will you need to carry them in? If we are talking about minor connectors or fuses that can fit in your pocket, as you trudge through the wilderness in your snow shoes, it’s not a big deal. What about if you were required to pack in a large replacement amplifier or receiver? Do you practice remote monitoring, to check for high SWR, and catch an issue before it turns into an outright failure? Do you have backup plans and auto failover in case of an equipment failure? Allow Bressler Communication Consultants to help identify and plan for those often overlooked problem areas. A site survey can go a long way in preventing an extended outage and keep your sites running at peak performance.
The Emergency Alert System has been in existence for several years. Many are familiar with the alert tone and scrolling message that appears on your television, or the weekly test that will often be heard on your local radio station. However many are not aware that there is a system that will also activate a message on your mobile device called Wireless Emergency Alerts. This service is location based and sent to devices currently using an impacted tower location. This type of system will allow someone that is temporarily travelling through the area, as well as regular customers, to still receive an emergency message. FEMA lists the following information on the EAS webapge (https://www.ready.gov/alerts) :
During an emergency, alert and warning officials need to provide the public with life-saving information quickly. Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs), made available through the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) infrastructure, are just one of the ways public safety officials can quickly and effectively alert and warn the public about serious emergencies. What you need to know about WEAs:
I see several posts weekly, on social media, asking for ways to stop the harassing "robocalls" and unsolicited telemarketer scams. The FCC hosted a challenge to find ways to stop these calls since the "Do Not Call List" doesn't work and was all but unenforceable. The result was the FCC challenge winner, Nomorobo (www.nomorobo.com/). Nomorobo is a unique tool that is completely free for landlines and utilizes the simulring service that is usually offered by your telephone provider in the common long list of "features". How does this work? Very simple! Simulring is a service that allows an incoming call to ring multiple "numbers" or devices at once. This could be your home phone, office phone, and or mobile phone. The first one that picks up, receives the call. Nomorobo is simply added to the list of "numbers" on your simulring service. Nomorobo watches the incoming calls and compares the caller-id to a national list of telemarketers and if the number is recognized simply disconnects the call. Nomorobo even goes one step further by being able see when a new "robocall" goes out to the masses and can immediately and automatically add that number to the blacklist! You may ask what you will hear on your end? Basically nothing..............your phone will ring once and that is it. When this occurs you can smile and know that Nomorobo is working for you!
Wildlife can be a close second to causing damage at communication sites. How often do you check your sites for damage and perform preventative maintenance? For some reason porcupines and other animals love to sharpen their teeth on antenna feed lines and various equipment . If sites are left unchecked at regular intervals you may not notice any issues until that failover link is needed and fails. Feed lines are notorious for developing issues that may not appear until bad weather or heavy rains. If caught early, minor repairs can be implemented to mitigate higher costs down the road of a full replacement of costly feed lines. Call Bressler Communication Consultants to perform these site visits for you and recommend the correct course of action.
